Annie Helen Red Crow - Blood, age 52, of the Blood Reserve passed away peacefully at her home in Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Annie leaves behind her beloved husband, Constable Michael Blood of the Blood Tribe Police Services and her children whom she loved with all her heart, Marc Peter and Lucinda Marie Red Crow. Also her special pets, cat Cederic and her dog Spikey which she considered as her ""babies."" Annie was the youngest daughter (three older sisters and two brothers) born to the late Andrew Allred and Dinah Red Crow of the Blood Reserve. She attended secondary and high schools in Lethbridge. Annie graduated with an Office Assistant diploma from Lethbridge Community College. Annie married her husband in November 1981 at the St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Standoff, AB. Annie's passions were her family, her animals, her music and friends. She loved and was extremely proud of her husband and children, spending most of her time with them. She was friendly, outgoing, and had an infectious laugh which warmed the hearts of her family and friends, young and old. Annie easily bonded with the youth and developed strong friendships and relationships. She touched the minds and hearts of her family and friends by making them feel special and loved. She was a strong Calgary Flames fan and attended many hockey games in Calgary. Annie was employed at a number of places, with her most recent position with the Blood Tribe Housing Department as a receptionist. As a front-line worker, Annie showed exceptional service by ensuring messages were relayed to appropriate personnel and that the public needs were addressed. She was sociable and enjoyed sharing funny stories and laughs with the public while they waited for their appointments. She was missed terribly when Annie went on disability leave and many had inquired when she was returning to her job. Annie was a firm believer of the Traditional Catholic (Vatican 1) doctrine and teachings. Her family travelled to Spokane to visit the St. Michael's Parish and witness the Traditional Catholic Masses. Besides her loving husband and children, Annie is survived by her siblings: Jacqueline Red Crow, of Cardston; Delphine (John) Pipestem Sr. of the Tsuu T'ina Nation near Calgary, Alvin (Sheila) Red Crow of the Blood Reserve and Norbert (Mandy) Red Crow Sr. of Browning, Montana, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
