Mrs. Leslie Bjerland (Huettmeyer) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Chad Bjerland, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the age of 33 years. 

Leslie grew up in Revelstoke and graduated from Revelstoke Secondary School in 2004. Even at ayoung age, she was passionate about Disney, animals and young children. After completing her studies in Early Learning and Child Care, she settled in Lethbridge in 2006. It is there, that Leslie met the love of her life Chad Bjerland and they were married on August 12, 2017. 

Leslie worked at several preschools and daycares. She loved working with children and shared a child-like wonder with them. She was generous, kind and loving. She had an open heart and an open mind; she would lend a helping hand if she could. She loved dogs and was devoted to Bonnie and Clyde, pets she shared with Chad. She loved going to her large family reunions and especially enjoyed time with her niece and nephews. She was noted for her directness and her keen sense of observation. 

Left to cherish Leslie’s memory are her husband Chad Bjerland, her parents Susan and Kurt Huettmeyer of Revelstoke; sisters, Laura of Abbotsford, Kendra(Tyler) of Victoria, Eleanor(Phillip) of Creston, Fiona(Tyler) of Calgary; brothers Grant(Emily) of Hinton and Erik of Revelstoke; niece and nephews, Evan, Harrison, Austin, Mason, Theodore and Julianna and her grandmother, Julianna Huettmeyer of Abbotsford. 

A Celebration of Leslie’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at MARTINBROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta with PastorKathy Calkins, officiating.
