WILLIAM ""BILL"" PAULENCE of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Flora Paulence, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the age of 91 years.

Bill was born on July 11, 1917 in Luzan, Alberta. He was raised and educated in Willingdon, Alberta. He married Flora Biholar in 1940 and together they left the family farm and moved to Edmonton for a couple years. They then moved to the Barnwell Area and purchased their own farm. In 1952 they moved to Lethbridge where he worked at several different places before starting his own painting company. He never retired from painting and he continued to paint for family and friends. Bill loved to fish and garden and loved to call his grandchildren when the veggies were ready. He also loved traveling with his wife. Bill will be missed and fondly remembered.

Besides his loving wife Flora, Bill is survived by his daughter Yvonne (Murray) Mills; son Ron (Helen) Paulence; 6 grandchildren Troy (Tammy) Paulence, Todd Paulence (Jean Lachance), Rhonda (Rick) Aos, Michelle (Bill) Mills-Daenen, Scott (Lisa) Mills and Cathy (Marty) King; brother Mike Paulencu; sisters Doreen (John) Sorochan and Aurora ""Liz"" (Ray) Jensen; great-grandchildren Tory and Mackenzie Paulence, Mary and Eric Wauters, Zac and Allie Aos, Cole Mills and Vance King; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Bill was predeceased by his brother Peter.

A private family service will be held at Martin Bros. Riverview Chapel.
