JAMES H. BAGNALL of Lethbridge, Alberta, beloved husband of Cheryl L. Bagnall, passed away peacefully following a brave battle against cancer at the age of 64 years.
Jim was born on March 17, 1943 in Wilkie, Saskatchewan to Irene and George Bagnall. Jim began his long career in transport working for the family business, Bagnall Transport. After several years of driving truck, he began working for Canadian Pacific Railway and spent his distinguished career there as a locomotive engineer, a job he loved, and missed once retired. Jim loved to build and renovate. Jim and his beloved wife Cheryl spent many years renovating their homes, landscaping yards, and adding beauty to neighborhoods in several cities in Western Canada. More than anything, Jim loved having friends and family come to visit and enjoy the results of his renovations. For many years Jim was involved in bowling leagues where he enjoyed time spent with friends, and excelled within his league and in provincial and national competitions. Jim enjoyed spending his days in the sun, either on his deck, working on his yard, or on the beach. The only thing greater than that to Jim, was having those he loved along with him to enjoy the days.
Besides his loving wife Cheryl, Jim is survived by his two sons and three daughters, Wade ( Pam) Bagnall of Maple Ridge BC, Troy Bagnall of Chilliwack BC, Nicole (Darcy) Sander of Saskatoon SK, Jamie (Lorne) Damberger of Whitecourt AB, and Danielle Heilman (Dylan Chipperfield) of White Rock BC; seven grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters; as well as many nieces and nephews.
