It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Isabel Bernadette Androkovich (Panczak), beloved wife of the late Mr. Leslie Androkovich Sr., on Friday, February 26, 2021. Mom was 90 years young.

Isabel was born August 8, 1930 in Barnwell, Alberta. She resided in that area until her marriage to Leslie on February 21, 1952. Her life was not an easy one, having started working in the garden after school at the age of 7. She worked on the farm until her marriage, then moved to the Lethbridge area, where she worked on the dairy farm that Leslie ran with his brothers. She had a large garden and fed hired men throughout the years. She had her first child, Dianne, in November of 1952, followed by Allan in 1956 and Leslie in 1961.

As a youngster, she went to Lac La Biche with her parents in a covered wagon and team of horses. They were delivering them to her sister and husband who were farming up there. She often talked about that experience, as well as many others, both good and bad. She led a very diverse live on the farm and with her children. As Leslie was always busy on the dairy, she was a mom, chauffeur, and all-around care giver. She put on many miles in all kinds of weather getting her kids to their respective events, and never once complained.  

Mom was very set in her ways and stood strong with her morals and beliefs.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Ell; her sons, Allan (Patty and Jordan), and Leslie Jr. (Maxine), as well as her grandson Cameron, whom she adored, and three great grandsons, who also gave her great pleasure. She always looked forward to their visits, and always had a treat for Cam’s dog.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Sr., and her son in law, Dennis Ell, parents, sisters, brother, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her beloved dog, Daisy.
