MR. NIGEL ALEXANDER of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Effie Alexander, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the age of 65 years.

Nigel was born in St. Andrews, Scotland and spent his childhood in Cupar. He married Effie in 1968 and they immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in 1969, and shortly after moved to Lethbridge. For most of his career, Nigel worked at Sears Automotive as a manager, and later took on the same role at Kal Tire. Nigel was passionate about soccer, coaching his sons' teams and being an active participant in the Lethbridge Soccer Association.

Besides his loving wife Effie, Nigel is survived by his sons Dwayne (Shawna) Alexander, Trevor (Hee Eun) Alexander; brothers Stuart (Rita) Alexander, Geoff (Norma) Alexander; granddaughter Brookelynn Alexander and grandsons Jayden and Winston Alexander.

Nigel was predeceased by his parents David and Daisy Alexander.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHPAEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Valerie Martell-Kostiuk, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 2M7.
