It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of our dear husband, father, grandfather and brother, MR. CORNELIS ""CASE"" ALEMAN, beloved husband of Mrs. Johanna Aleman. Case passed away surrounded by his family in Fort MacLeod Community Care Centre on October 19, 2007, at the age of 72 years. Case was born on July 28, 1935, in Ouddorp, The Netherlands to Teunis and Cornelia Aleman. He immigrated to Canada in 1954 and married Jantje ""Jenny"" Van Hierden in 1958.
Besides his loving wife Johanna, he leaves to mourn his children and grandchildren; Barry (Ruth) Aleman, Tony, Kevin, Bart and Ryan; Anita (Ben) Oudshoorn, Dylan, Alana, Rachel, Amy, Thomas, Chad and Kenneth; Corina (Matt) Grisnich, Tami (Adrian) Van Liere, Rick, Tim, Luke, Scott, Steven and Wendy Aleman; his stepchildren and step-grandchildren, Donna (Marlin) Friesen, Amber, Lauryn, Jaden; Frank (Kim) Wesley, Madisyn, Jackson; Joy (Thane) Hurlburt, Austin, Ty and Fern Wesley.
Case is survived by his sisters and brothers Clara Struik, Dini (Tony) Vanee, Ann (Evert) Tanis, Betty Dysklag, Mike (Mary) Aleman and John (Bea) Aleman. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Corrie Aleman, Jozina Aleman and Beverly Fear as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Case is also survived by the members of the Van Hierden and Beekman families.
Case is predeceased by his first wife, Jantje ""Jenny"" Aleman, two sons, Tony and Ken Aleman, his parents, Teunis and Cornelia Aleman, brothers; Jake, Clarence and Moses, brothers-in-law, Arie Struik, Ed Dykslag and Andy Dancek. He is also predeceased by his parents-in-law Beert and Antonia Van Hierden, brothers-in-law, John and Evert Van Hierden.
Family and friends are invited to offer condolences between 7:00pm and 9:00pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, 830 - 7 Street North, Lethbridge, with Reverend H. D. den Hollander officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Calvin Christian School, P.O. Box 40, Monarch, AB T0L 1M0 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 9Z9.
