Robert "Rob" Potvin Obituary

With great sadness but peaceful hearts, the family of Robert (Rob) Potvin share the news of his sudden passing on January 29, 2020. Freed from cancer, he is home with Jesus in heaven.

Born in Lethbridge, AB on October 18, 1957, his exuberant personality captivated everyone he met. Rob was a beloved husband of 28 years to Dianne, devoted father to Robert (Anita) Potvin, Aaron (Maia) Potvin, Gerry-Lynn Horlings, and Shaun (Michelle) Cook, and adoring Grandpa to his seven grandkids.

Rob is survived by his siblings, Shan (Ed) Pruett, Carol (Charlie) Nordquist, LaReine (Dan) Risling, Janice (George) Hubbard, Ross (Kerri) Potvin, and Rick (Karen) Potvin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his loving parents, Robert and Doreen Potvin, and sister Linda Russell.

Rob worked for 30+ years at Coca-Cola, before finishing his career with City of Lethbridge Transit, recently retiring from driving school bus.  Rob enjoyed many interests and hobbies, especially camping, fishing, and oldies music.  An avid sports fan, he passionately cheered for the Boston Bruins! He loved playing board games with friends, and outings with his grandkids.
