Gayle Watson Obituary

Gayle Ila Watson passed away Tuesday, October 19 at the Coaldale Health Centre surrounded by her loving family.

Gayle was born at home, in Briarlea, Saskatchewan on July 12, 1942, to Charles and Eleanor Dalton. She was the youngest of 10 children. In 1947, the family moved to Little Britain, Ontario. In the fall of 1948, 2 homeless ministers, came to the Dalton home and had gospel meetings. The message these ladies brought influenced every decision Gayle made, throughout her life. Gayle made a personal choice to follow Jesus in her early teens. In 1965, Gayle married her faithful friend and rock Murray Watson.  They began their married life in Toronto. To this union, 4 children were added: Marlene, Paul, Cathy, and Andrew. After living in several places, both in Ontario and Alberta, in 1985 they settled in Lethbridge and area. As years passed, Marlene, Paul, and Andrew all married and began families. Cathy chose to become a part of the same ministry that brought the gospel to Gayle’s family many years before. One by one, grandchildren were added. Gayle loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She will be missed immensely.

Gayle is survived by her children Marlene & Kevin Disher, Cindy, Wayne, Brendon & Shenyse, Deanna & Devryn Wray (Declan & Liam): Paul & Karin Watson, Katherine, Alexis, Jacqueline (& Jacob Lange): Cathy Watson: Andrew & Kelcey Watson, Dallas, Ella, Tyson: 3 sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gayle was predeceased by her faithful husband, Murray, on January 12, 2005.
