Frances Laura Seaman (Adshead) passed away peacefully on her 104th birthday on November 16, 2019.
Frances was born in Cardston, AB to Frank and Alice Adshead. She grew up on numerous Southern Alberta ranches with her brother Frankie Adshead. She deeply enjoyed her childhood where she developed a love for horses and being outdoors.
Frances fell in love with a handsome black-haired butcher named Fred Seaman. They married and had two children, Linda and Brenda. Frances was a great caregiver to her husband, children, Mom, and later her grandchildren. Frances walked daily to visit her Mom who lived to 105. Frances never lost her love for the outdoors, gardening, and walking her Irish setter, Penny. She walked anywhere her feet would take her. Frances believed in giving back to the community and spent many years volunteering with Meals on Wheels, the Lethbridge Auxiliary Hospital, and the Lethbridge Seniors Centre.
Frances is survived by her daughter Brenda Blair (Cranbrook, BC), grandchildren Monte Strong, Kelly (Josh) Charlebois, and Robyn Strong (Josh Milligan), great grandchild Annie Frances Milligan, son-in-law Rod Strong, and niece Mary Elaine (Don) Lancaster.
Frances was predeceased by her parents Frank and Alice Adshead, husband Fred Seaman, brother Frank Adshead, son-in-law Beau Blair, and daughter Linda Strong.
Frances spent the last seven years at Legacy Lodge and her family is grateful for their care and kindness.
A private service will be held for Frances.
