Carol Miller Obituary

Mrs. CAROL ANN MILLER of Coaldale, beloved wife of Elwin P. (Sonny) Miller, passed away peacefully on Friday June 12, 2020 at the age of 83 years.

Carol was born in Lethbridge, raised in Chin and attended school at Readymade.  It is there she met her high school sweetheart Sonny and they were married July 20, 1957.  They went on to farm in the Readymade area for the next 60 years.  Carol was a wonderful mother & grandmother, a good cook & homemaker.   She enjoyed gardening and helping out on the farm where she prepared many harvest time meals.  She also enjoyed many years at a second home in Whitefish, MT where she loved to ski, golf and entertain family & friends.  Lots of memories were made there.  She enjoyed many ski trips and traveled to different places with several winters spent in Arizona and Nevada.  She enjoyed people, had a good sense of humor and was always up for a coffee, tea, or happy hour & especially a visit.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Besides her loving husband Sonny, Carol is survived by her son Boyd (Donna) Miller and daughter Rayma (Buddy) Flint, three grandsons Logan Miller, Derek Flint and Dylan Miller, and one sister Shirley Ober.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and May Sprinkle, one brother, Earl Sprinkle, one sister-in-law Sheila Sprinkle and one brother-in-law Doug Ober.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, especially 4C and the 5th floor, as well as Coaldale LTC for the comfort and care of Carol.  And a very big thank you to Char Friessen, Carol's home health nurse, for stepping us through this journey.  Going above and beyond and allowing Carol to live life her own way.

A private service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020.  A celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at a later date.

Flowers are gratefully declined.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s name may be made to Parkinson’s Canada, https://www.parkinson.ca/getinvolved/waystogive/
