Mr. Anthony “Tony” Tomaszewski of Bow Island, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the age of 74 years.

Our father was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 28, 1949. He moved to Canada at the age of 7, and he resided with his family in Bow Island, Alberta, where he attended St. Michaels school. Even at a very young age, Tony was very entrepreneurial, by having a paper route and doing odd jobs around town. This led him to own a very successful business called T@S Rockbit, which he ran with his wife in Brooks, Alberta for 10 years. Tony had a passion for old cars, spending time renovating and fixing them up. Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he would volunteer his time when he was not working. He spent over 40 years in the oil and gas industry, making the oil field his home and introducing his two sons to the industry.

Anthony is survived by his sons Jason Tomaszewski (Kathy) and Jeff Tomaszewski; grandchildren Sawyer, Carter, Isabelle, Oliver, Kristina, and Alison; brother Richard Tomaszewski (Debbie); nieces Joanna Darling (Ron), Susanne Jin (Santo), Erin Ryland (Ben); nephew Ian Tomaszewski (Jessica); and great grandchild Mason.

He is predeceased by his parents Stanely and Krystyna Tomaszewski, and sister Teresa Last.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects prior to the service between 12:00PM and 1:00PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 ST SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment to follow in Royal View Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta.
