Mr. Nicholas “Nick” Reeves of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Valerie Reeves, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the age of 85 years.

Nick was a kind and gentle man with a quiet strength. His love for nature and animals was profound, but it was the fierce and loyal love he had for his beautiful bride, Val, that truly defined him. Their love story began on a ship headed to Canada, where Nick first met Val, and that brief encounter blossomed into a 57-year marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support.

Nick was a devoted husband who would have moved heaven and earth for his equally devoted wife, Val. Together, they traveled the world, sharing adventures and creating lasting memories. At home, Nick found peace in the garden, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the joy of their many cherished loved ones, including dogs, cats, and the many funny family members who always brought laughter to their home.

A hardworking man throughout his life, Nick was a skilled heavy-duty mechanic by trade and a passionate car enthusiast. He loved spending time in his garage, where he could be found tinkering and thinking, always with an eye for detail. Though often a quiet and thoughtful soul, Nick’s true spirit came to life when he was surrounded by good friends. His infectious smile and laughter would light up the room, leaving everyone who knew him better for having shared in his company.

Nick leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by his wife Val, his family, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A celebration of Nick’s life will be held at a later date, with all who knew and loved him invited to join in remembering this extraordinary man.
