Mrs. Vicki O'Donnell of Warner, beloved wife of the late Earl O'Donnell, passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the age of 59 years.

She will be missed by her children: daughter Adena (Keith) Heppler, son Martin (Roberta) O'Donnell, her 3 precious grandsons Dylan, Holden, and Zachary Heppler, brothers Victor (Shelley Flegel) Werk, Larry (Brenda) Werk, Brad Werk and sister Diane Law; Mother-in-Law Eva O'Donnell, Sister-in-Law Evelyn Battle, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Alfred Werk and Betty Ellis, Father-in-Law Elmer O'Donnell, Brother-in-Law Russel Battle and nephew Gary Battle.

Vicki was born in Lethbridge on November 8, 1951. She grew up and took all of her schooling in Warner. After school she moved to Banff to begin her banking career and after a short while, moved back to Warner where she got a job at the CIBC bank, where she worked for the next 30 years. On November 18, 1972, Vicki married the love of her life, Earl O'Donnell and they settled on the family farm east of Warner. Vicki was very active in the community helping with and volunteering her time for the Warner West Water Co-op, Royal Purple, 4-H and various other events, activities and organizations. For the last 3 years and up until her passing, she was the dorm mother for the Warner Hockey School Residence. She was a great friend and neighbour to all and she will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered.

Prayers will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the MARTIN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the WARNER CIVIC CENTER, Warner, Alberta with Jason Carroll officiating.
