Dale, beloved husband of Marj (Snowdon) passed away at the age of 77 after a long battle with dementia. He was always a gentleman and a ""gentle"" man who lived his life by the Golden Rule.

Born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, he also lived in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and Grand Prairie, Alberta before attending the University of Alberta where he graduated in 1953 with a degree in Commerce which led to his lifetime career in accounting in Edmonton, Lethbridge and Calgary.

Dale, always a caring husband and father, loved spending time with his family and friends who all appreciated his great sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing, camping, travelling and after retirement the winter home in Arizona where many new and old friends gathered every year for good times together. Also, many worldwide trips created happy memories.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son Tim and daughter-in-law Anita and their children Riley and Kaley. Also, his sister Kathleen, brother Jack (Lorna), sister-in-law Mary (Larry), their families and many relatives in Canada and the United States.

He was predeceased by his daughter Laurie Diane, his brother Larry and his parents Aline and George O'Brien.

We would like to thank all the staff and caregivers at both Father Lacombe Care Centre and Bethany Care Centre in Calgary who made Dale's long journey much easier. A special thanks to Marc Ulmer who was a caring companion to Dale providing him with many happy, bright moments.

We will have a private family burial for Dale at 11:30am on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge, AB.

To celebrate his life we invite friends and relatives to join us for a reception beginning at 12:30pm on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at COUNTRY KITCHEN, 1715 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB.
