Jeff Mehrer of the city of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Karyn Jarvis passed away after a short battle with an aggressive cancer on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karyn; and his stepchildren, Tyler and Chelsea Jarvis; and his 3 wonderful grandsons, Trey, Tripp, and Jett, whom he loved and adored very much.

He is survived by his siblings, Brian Mehrer (Brenda-deceased), Judy Budd (Kevin Vosbourgh), Don Mehrer (Dawn), Sally Mapplebeck (Rodney), Paul Mehrer (Julie), and Ellie Walker (Dwayne).

He is also survived by his brother’s in-law, Jeremy Reierson, Bryan Calpus (Denise-deceased); and mother in-law Dianne Skretting; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Dorothy Mehrer; and sister, Kathy Blue (Dan); and brother in-law, Danny Skretting; and sister in-law, Denise Calpus.

Jeff was the Owner/Operator of Old West Tree Company for 28 years, his wife Karyn worked along side him for most of these years.

Jeff was a multi-talented artist, musician, and song writer and recorded two albums with his wife. He played in many bands over the years since the age of 9 and opened for many famous bands.

Jeff will be remembered for being an honorable talented man and his awesome Johnny Cash covers but mostly for his great sense of humor.

We’re having an open jam to pay tribute to Jeff’s life in music. All musicians and singers who knew Jeff are welcome to join is for food and beverages and a cash bar from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the ROCKY MOUNTAIN TURF CLUB EVENT CENTRE, 3401 Parkside Dr S, Lethbridge, Alberta.
