CLINT KAUPP
August 14, 1989 ~ February 22, 2018
Mr. Clint Kaupp of New Dayton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the age of 28 years.
Clint was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, the youngest child of Bill and Paula Kaupp. Clint grew up on the family farm in New Dayton where it was clear from an early age that he was destined to be a farmer in the mold of his father. He went to school in Warner where he met many dear friends for life, including Tim Mueller. In Warner he began playing hockey where he got the opportunity to meet great friends from neighbouring small communities that continue to be his closest friends today. As an adult, Clint was dedicated to the farming operation he shared with his parents and brother Jon. His family was so lucky to spend nearly every day working by his side. The best thing that farm ever grew was the uniquely, loving, brotherly relationship that Jon and Clint had. When not working the land, Clint enjoyed curling in Warner and Foremost where he excelled at both the sport and the libations that accompanied it. He was always getting involved in any event that took place in the community and you could be sure that Clint would be at the center of both the activity and party. The time Clint got to spend with his beloved nieces and nephews was used teaching them the art of breaking the rules and disobeying their ‘strict’ parents. Often while taking part in activities with them, you really couldn’t tell who was the kid and who was the adult, such was his spirit. During slower farm months Clint would always be putting together a trip for he and all his friends to various destinations, where they would partake in watching football games, catching a day at Disneyland or maybe attending a concert. In the summer months you would most often find him on the lake in his boat with all his friends, surfing and having a great time. He will forever be remembered for his kind and enormous heart, fierce loyalty and his unique ability to captivate any audience with an incredibly humorous and charismatic spirit. ‘Goose’ was so much more than a friend and a brother, he was the embodiment of living life to the fullest and leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and spirits of every person lucky enough to have been around him.
Besides his mom Paula, Clint is survived by his sisters Jaime (Jordy) Metzger and Lindsay (Ivor) Magill; brother Jon (Jessica) Kaupp; honorary brother Lee McTaggart as well as nieces Olivia, Raya, Maggie and Annabelle; nephews Nate, Reggie and Henry.
Clint passed away with his father Bill Kaupp.
A Private Family Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018.
A Celebration of Clint's Life will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the WARNER CIVIC CENTRE, 508 - 4 Ave, Warner, Alberta, T0K 2L0, with Pastor Brian Magee officiating. A Private Family Interment will follow in the Warner Cemetery.
