Roberta "Bobby" Jo-Anne Fallon
Official Obituary of
22/12/1970 - to - 24/12/2025
It is with great sorrow that the family of Roberta (Bobby) Jo-Anne Fallon announces her passing on December 24, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 55 years.
Bobby was born on April 22, 1970. She was the first child born to Brenda Rogers and Keith Fallon, and the first grandchild for both sets of grandparents.
Bobby called the family farm in Monarch home, having lived there for most of her childhood and adolescence. Her adult years were spent in Coaldale and Lethbridge.
When she was ten, the family moved to Faro, Yukon Territory. Here, Bobby got a taste of life in the north, experiencing the cold arctic winters, the continual daylight in the summer, and the vast outdoors and wildlife that the Yukon provided. Her stay in Faro was limited to two years, from 1980-1982, when the downfall in economy forced the closure of the mine and the move back to the farm.
Bobby got her schooling at Noble Central School from grade one to grade four. Grades five and six were at Del Vangorda school in Faro, and grades seven to twelve were spent back in Nobleford.
After she left school, she worked in maintenance at McDonald's for a number of years. When she was in her late thirties, Bobby went back to school and eventually obtained her degree in sociology. While attending university, she volunteered with the University Women’s Centre as an advocate for women’s rights.
Bobby was currently employed in the Lethbridge School District as an educational assistant. Here, she found her passion was working with children. She often spoke about her kids and how they enriched her life. Bobby had a huge kind heart and was a champion not only for women and children, but she also had a soft heart for animals. Over the years, she adopted numerous cats that were deemed unadoptable and that no one else wanted, giving them a loving home.
Bobby is survived by her mother Brenda Rogers; sister Krista (Brad) MacNeil; niece Allysia (Murray) MacNeil; nephew Darren MacNeil; step brother Mark (Alyshia) Rogers; step sister Cindy Rogers; step niece Makayli Rogers; step nephews Cowen Rogers and Jace White; uncle Jamie (Karen) Piper; aunt Carol Bennett; cousins Alison Piper, Trysten Piper, Shelley Holzli and Dana Ferguson; and her two cats Quincy and Oscar.
She was predeceased by her father, Keith Fallon; stepfather Tom Rogers; grandparents Ralph and Lillian Piper, and Jerrald and May Fallon.
Bobby was an active member of the pride community and a huge Star Trek fan. She and her nephew Darren would take part annually in the Star Trek conventions in Vulcan, Alberta. Magic was Bobby’s hobby. She was a self-taught amateur magician and got really quite good at it, even to the point of inventing her own magic tricks.
To honour Bobby’s memory, anyone who wishes can make donations to the Lethbridge YWCA or the Lethbridge Animal Shelter.
As Bobby was a private person, a private family gathering will be held to commemorate her life.
Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.
