Mr. Sidney “Sid” Albert Ernest Collier Sr. of Lethbridge, beloved husband for 65 years, of Mrs. Melba Collier, passed away peacefully with family by his side at Edith Cavell Care Centre on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Sid was born on February 12, 1934 in Carmangay, Alberta. Sid was a Carmangay kid!!! The community took good care of him when his mother passed away when he was just 12 years old. To provide for his family, Sid had a long career as a hardware man, working for a number of different companies in southern Alberta. He loved to play baseball and at just 13 he played on the Carmangay men’s team.

Besides his loving wife Melba, Sid is survived by his sons Sidney Jr. (Bernie) Collier, Patrick “Rick” (Connie), Collier, Graham Collier; grandchildren David (Tessa) Collier, Thomas (Larissa) Collier; great-grandchildren Evie, Salma and Emery Collier.

Cremation entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.

A private family graveside of Sid’s ashes will be held in the Royal View Cemetery.
