Janina “Jean” Adamus passed away in Lethbridge on May 18, 2020, at the age of 96 years.

She is survived by her children Helen, Stan and Joe (Mary); two grandchildren Jason, Heather (Mark) and great grandson Connor.

Jean emigrated from Poland after the war with her family, settled in Diamond City and eventually moved to Lethbridge where she worked at the hospital and police station.

Jean loved to cook for family and friends. Christmas and Easter were big events abundant with food and celebration. Her perogies, cabbage rolls, soups and pies kept our freezers stocked

Jean was fun-loving and spirited and lived life her way. She enjoyed dancing, music, socializing with family and friends, a bit of golfing and curling, bowling, and camping, as well as trips around Alberta and southern B.C.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Al Litchfield officiating. With respect to the AHS COVID-19 Regulations, we will be limiting the number of people in attendance to 50 people.

In memory of Jean, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 1202 2 Ave S #40, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0E3.

Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.
