Steven Bari Obituary

It is with great sadness we the family of Steven Edward Bari announce his passing.  He passed away on Thursday January 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving mother Irene, his 3 children Mercedes, Jordan and Austin.  He is also survived by his sister Klara (Fred) Fomradas and his nephew Nolan.

Steve was born in Picture Butte and grew up in Lethbridge graduating from CCHS in 1984.    He spent his adolescent time being an active Royal Navy League Sea Cadet, spending many summers on the BC coast living the dream.  He was also an avid soccer player and it continued into his adult years.

He had many ventures in his career from Agriculture Mechanics, Printing Pressman, Agriculture Sales, Heavy Duty Machinery Management to finally being in Graphic Design.

His proudest accomplishments started in May of 2003 when he welcomed his first child Mercedes followed by Jordan in 2005 and Austin in 2006. It is safe to say he kickstarted the family pretty quickly.  He always made time for his kids as they were his priority.  From swim lessons to badminton practice, to basketball practice to cheer, the time spent driving with the kids was just special. You would also see Steve helping coach at the Lethbridge Soccer Centre.  During this time his hair had slowly begun to change, but he would still be easily recognized with his elite stature.

He enjoyed time spent away with his kids from camping, acreage living and many hours in the pool.

His love extended to other aspects in his life including his passion for Classic Muscle Cars and Hard Rock Music.  Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Kiss and the list goes on.  Steve would often be seen driving around town with his unique classic vehicles.  He especially loved Street Wheeler's Weekend.  Again, easily recognizable with his hair and his young children riding with him.  He would do a lap and swap out children and sometimes vehicles.  He LOVED his Cars.  Many friends describe Steve as a car nut that could engage in conversation for hours about anything car related.

Steve was a very gentle, generous, genuine, cheerful, crazy, kind, spontaneous, outgoing and forever beloved.  He will be forever missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Dr. Aaron Coma, Dr Toni Winder and the amazing healthcare workers on 4C.

A private family Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2021.
