Sandra Eileen Omelchuk

Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Omelchuk of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Roy Omelchuk, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the age of 73 years.

Besides her loving husband Roy Omelchuk, Sandra is survived by her brothers Doug (Jolayne) Lyons; nephews Chad (Heather) Lyons, Gerald Loxton Junior, Craig (Michelle) Loxton; Sandy’s cat Maui, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents George Lyons and Doris Bennett, as well as her brother George Lyons Junior and her sister Donna Loxton.

As a young girl, Sandra’s joy for life and desire for a good one led her to the U of A where she learned a B.Ed. and a spot on the Dean’s list. While there, she met a young man and during the next fifty-five years they worked, saw movies, live theatre, live concerts, and Edmonton Eskimo Games. Sandra and Roy loved to Travel. Hawaii was “NO KA OI” – the best. Most of all, they visited with their families, friends and neighbours. Long walks, a good book, art works and home decorating filled the quiet times; the cats she loved filled in the rest.

Sandra will be fondly remembered by every one of her very lucky people whose life she touched.

A Celebration of Sandra’s Life will be held at a later date.

Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.
