Obituary

Mrs. Mary Anne D’Andrea of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Michael D’Andrea, passed away at St. Therese Villa, on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the age of 86 years.

Mary was born on July 27, 1936, eldest child of Ignacy and Stephania (Stella) Lubin. She married Michael D’Andrea on May 17, 1958.  She enjoyed nearly 30 years in a rewarding and fulfilling teaching career.  Mary will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, positive attitude, and love of life.  She was very social, creative and crafty, and was involved in numerous organizations, service clubs, and social groups, where she attained lifetime memberships with many of them. She loved to travel and go camping.   Mary liked to be silly and have fun, and she always had a joke on hand to share!  She also loved to brighten someone’s day.  She had an incredible memory and was an inspiration to many.  She participated in and cherished many family milestones and celebrations with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Mary leaves behind her three children, Sandra (Mark) German of Cochrane, Dianne (Kim) Sullivan of Lethbridge, and Tim (Mardie) D’Andrea of Calgary.  She had seven grandchildren: Greg (Mandi) German, Rhonda Kennedy, DeAndra Sullivan, Hunter Sullivan, and KiAnna Sullivan, Mikayla D’Andrea and Mackenzie D’Andrea. Mary had five great-grandchildren: George and Molly Kennedy, Navy, Rhodes and Rune German.  She is also survived by her siblings Helena Lubin, Janet Tilbe, Joe (Isabel) Lubin, and Vicki (Brian) Sherman, her sisters-in-law Maria Delger, Maxine D’Andrea, and Joyce D’Andrea, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families, and many friends.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Michael D’Andrea; her parents Stella & Ignacy Lubin; her sister-in-law Madeline Jorgenson; her brothers-in-law Len Tilbe, Victor D’Andrea, Fiori D’Andrea, Roy Delger and Doug Jorgenson.
