Jeffery Joseph Ress

Jeffery Joseph Ress of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Jackie Ress, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday August 26, 2023, at the age of 48 years.

Jeff was born in Lethbridge, September 11, 1974, to parents George and Wendy (Deceased) Ress. Jeff grew up in Coalhurst, where he attended school and graduated in the class of 1992. Following his graduation, Jeff worked various jobs, one of which helped him discover his love for playing with cars, leading him to Trade school in 1995 where he pursued his career in auto mechanics. In 1997 Jeff met the love of his life, Jackie. They soon tied the knot in 1999. Shortly after in 2000 his daughter Shaylee was born. Soon after Jeff realized he needed to step up his financial gain and look for another career which led him to his employment with ATCO Gas in 2003, where Jeff worked up until his passing. In 2007, Jeff welcomed his son Corwin into the world.

Jeff was a true family man, which kept his family close throughout the years. Jeff thoroughly enjoyed spending time camping, quadding, fishing, biking, hunting, boating. All activities were spent alongside his family. Jeff also really enjoyed going for drives, listening to his music, playing cards/crib with family and friends. In his down time, he enjoyed sending everyone his favorite TikTok’s and going to the gym.

Besides his loving wife Jackie, Jeff is survived by his daughter Shaylee and her fiancé Drayton; His son Corwin; father George Ress; sister Jennifer Ress (Jason); father-in-law Tom Englehart (Linda); mother-in-law Julie Andres (Hank); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.  

Jeff was predeceased by his mother Wendy Kurze-Ress.

A Celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Croatian Canadian Centre of Lethbridge, 3794 - 30 Street N, Lethbridge, Alberta.

In Jeff’s fashion, this will not be a formal event. Please come in your comfortable, everyday clothes.
