Gillian Lothian Obituary

Gillian Lothian of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Donald Lothian, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the age of 79 years.

She was born in Bournemouth, England, on March 8, 1941, to Harry and Mary Knowles. Gill worked more than 20 years for the City of Lethbridge Transit, she was an avid bowler, watching sports on TV as well as enjoyed cheering her kids and grandkids on in all their sporting and social activities. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Laguna Beach where her sister resided and out to Campbell River to watch her grandson play hockey.

Besides her loving husband Don, Gill is survived by her 3 daughters Tracy (Don Bridger) of Calgary, AB, Brenda (Rick Barva) of Lethbridge, AB and Marcia (Peter dekok) of Okotoks, AB; her grandchildren Brandon Fulkerth (Jennifer), Brock Fulkerth (Erin), Aaron dekok and Ryan dekok; great grandchildren Zander, Ava, Jax, and Arlo; sisters Susan Baalim and Maura Knowles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Harry Knowles.

Due to COVID-19, we have decided to celebrate her life in a private family gathering.

Flowers are gratefully declined. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
