Mr. Garth Arnold Hendricks of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Pat Hendricks, passed away with his wife by his side at Good Samaritans West Highlands on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
Garth was born in April 1936 in Weldon, Saskatchewan, the oldest of five children of Arnold and Selma Hendricks. Garth worked very hard from a young age to help out on the family farm. The family farming developed in him a very strong work ethic and sense of determination. Garth went on to work in the banking industry with the Bank of Commerce in various small town communities in Saskatchewan. He then went on to work in Correctional Services in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and acquired his designation as an accountant while working full time. Followed by six years working for Revenue Canada. Garth met and married Norma Ament and together they raised 3 children. The family relocated to Lethbridge, where Garth spent the next 21 years working in Correctional Services. He met his second wife Pat while working in the Lethbridge Correctional Centre and they eventually married in 1992 and enjoyed 28 years of companionship and love (along with many hours playing Solitaire). Garth retired in 1998.
Besides his loving wife Pat, Garth is survived by many loving family members.
Cremation entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.
