Edna Many Fingers Obituary

Edna Many Fingers Kah ki’niy’ist sikini passed away peacefully on May 14, 2020 after a lengthy illness with her daughter at her side.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzy (Luke); grandchildren, Nicole, Dane, McCarthy, Otto, and Dylan Many Fingers; daughter in law Dee Dee Tailfeathers, siblings, Clara Healy, Gilbert (Velma) Eagle Bear, Evelyn (Francis) Scout, Audrey Eagle Bear, Marsha (Merlin) Provost, Anita Eagle Bear, Connie Tail Feathers, Virginia, Veronica Eagle Bear, and Dorothy Day Rider; Loved niece, Pam Healy and her children, Bailey & Joel. Throughout the years Edna remained close with all of her extended family.  Her nieces and nephews called her their favorite auntie.
Edna remained close to Audrey MF and Connie Fox, and these girls learned many skills from her. She was like a big sister to them. Extended family: Alvin (Mel), Calvert (Terry), Marvin (Trina) Many Fingers. The family remember fondly the attachment and bond Edna had with her former in-laws. Gordon & Loretta Many Fingers, often referred to her as their daughter and loved her dearly.
Shortly after the loss of her son Tommy, Edna was diagnosed with cancer. Edna fought to survive and was able to spend two more years with her grandchildren. Edna was so proud of her grandchildren and all of their accomplishments. She never missed a birthday, special occasion or milestone and was always there to support them.
Against the odds in her final fight of her illness, Edna mustered the strength to call each of her grandchildren by name to tell them that she loves them. These children were the core of Edna's world. Edna would consistently FaceTime or phone her grandchildren.
Grammas house was a place where everyone was welcomed. It was a second home to many where she taught them the patience and kindness she was known for.
Edna is predeceased by her son Tommy Many Fingers; parents, Mike & Angeline Eagle Bear; paternal grandparents, Jack & Agnes Eagle Bear; maternal grandparents, Jonny Pace & Rosie English;  siblings, Alphonse, Michael Jr, Vern Eagle Bear and Fritz Chiefmoon; cherished aunts, Susie Bull Shields, and Margaret Weasel Fat.
Special thanks to the Chinook Regional Hospital 4C doctors, nurses, Age Care Columbia, Roxie Vale & Susan Heavy Shields and the palliative care team for their compassion and kindness taking care of our grandmother.
We apologize for those not mentioned . We know that grandma loved everyone in her life.
