MRS. ELIZABETH ""BETTY"" ZSOVAN, beloved wife of the late Steve Zsovan passed away on October 14, 2009, at the age of 87 years. Elizabeth was born in Lethbridge on May 25, 1922, and spent her entire life in Lethbridge taking pride in her community and the friends she made during her life here. In her youth she worked at Waterton National Park with her sister Vilma, later working at Woolworth's and Kresge's. She enjoyed their yearly get together's to chat and reminisce.

Betty was a lifelong member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was very honoured to be named this year's ""Mother of the Eagles"". She was also a lifelong member of the Legion receiving her 60 year pin last year.

Betty lived everyday to the fullest and enjoyed her life that she shared with her husband Steve. She loved camping, fishing, gardening and her home which she and Steve built together. Elizabeth was always caring for others and sharing one of her treasurers with someone she loved. She valued her friends and neighbors and never tired of their company.

Besides her loving husband Steve, she was predeceased by her parents Gabor and Mary Cook, 4 brothers, Joseph, Gilbert, Louis & John, and three sisters, Vilma, Julia & Mary. She is survived by her brother Andrew (Margaret), and several nephews, nieces and their families.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday October 21, 2009 at Mountain View Cemetery.
