Young Laurena

LAURENA VIOLA MAE YOUNG of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Charles Edward Young, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the age of 84 years at the Chinook Regional hospital.

Laurena was born in Sundial, Alberta on Aug 3, 1924. She started school in Granite falls and finished in Iron Springs. Laurena enjoyed the Lethbridge Senior Centre and was an active member of the Sons of Norway.

She is survived by her children Deanna (Don) Lunn of Lacombe, Gary (Karen) Young of Lethbridge, Allan (Fran) Young of Lethbridge and Cindy (Marty) West of Camrose; grandchildren Greg (Jackie) Lunn of Lacombe, Jason (Colette) Lunn of Lacombe, Jared (Michelle) Young of Calgary, Chad Young of Ucluelet, B.C., Ryan Young of Pincher Creek, Tyler Young of Lethbridge, Bill (Jill) West of Raymond, Mark (Cristina) West of Camrose, Greg West of Camrose; great grandchildren Kensey and Bryn Lunn, Cadence, Ryker and Griffin Lunn, Nolan, Colten Young, Savannah West, Austin Young. Her sisters Margaret Shaw, Alvina (Bob) Longmire, sister in law Ada Anderson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Laurena was pre deceased by her husband Charlie, sisters Maureen Toffin, Eileen Mac Donald and Caroline Withers; brothers Gordon and Lloyd Anderson.

Laurena will be lovingly remembered by her family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm, on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Monday, October 6, 2008, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Reverend Cathy Coates officiating. Interment to follow in Archmount Cemetery.
