MR. GORDON YOUNG, beloved husband of Mrs. Mona Young, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the age of 84 years.

Gordon is fondly remembered as a family man who enjoyed card games, celebrating family occasions, going to Hurricanes games and playing pranks. He grew up as a farm boy in Parkbeg, Saskatchewan. As a young man, Gordon came to seek his fortune in the ""big city"" of Lethbridge and never looked back. He held several jobs, the most memorable being a milkman and working for the CPR.

Besides his wife Mona Grace, Gordon is survived by his sister Norma (Francis) Wiman and by his children: Gordon (Debra), Greg (Carol), Marlene (Gary) Harmon and Pamela (Trevor) McGugan; step children Clark (Denise) Templeton, Scott (Judy) Templeton and Margaret (Terry) Welker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and the following grandchildren: Aaron (Megan), Robert, Tina, Breanne, Brittany, Amy, John, George, James, Justin, Daniel, Jamie, Kristen, Brett and great-grandchildren Faith and Alex.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Mona Audrey Young, his father Otis, mother Irene, and siblings: Lottie (Jack) Barth, Simeon (Molly) Young and Harvey (Edith) Young.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the ST. AUGUSTINE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 - 11 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Canon James Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at 3:30pm, at the Community Centre in Parkbridge Estates, 2920 - 29 Ave., S., Lethbridge.
