Official Obituary of

18/3/1923 - to - 4/6/2007

MR. THOMAS ""TOM"" WILLIAM WOODALL of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Catherine Woodall, passed away peacefully in his own home on Monday, June 4, 2007 at the age of 84 years.

Tom was born on March 18, 1923 at Cut Knife, SK. He took his schooling at Dufferin, a two-room rural school. In 1941, he joined the RCAF being posted at Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Leeds, England. He worked as an airplane mechanic and was discharged September 1945. On his return to Canada, he worked in Alberta and British Columbia mostly in logging related jobs.

In 1965, Tom married Catherine Ward and they eventually settled in Lethbridge, where they had a drapery store for some time. Tom loved people and history and never lost his keen sense of interest in places and the people he met along the way.

His beloved Catherine died in March 1987 and Tom stayed in Lethbridge and kept in touch with all the members of Catherine's family as well as his own family members. He loved to hear news of his home town of Cut Knife, SK. Tom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife Catherine (nee Ward), parents Marie and Ralph Woodall; step-mother Ellen Woodall; brothers-in-law Richard Del Pivo, Roy McColeman, Dennis Ward, Lawrence Ward; nieces Lynn Kierzek, Susan Livingston; nephew Michael Farago.

Tom is survived by his brother Keith Woodall; sisters Victoria (Lewis) Hoskins, Robena Del Pivo, Daphne Woodall, Rosemary McColeman, Denise Newton; sisters-in-law Sister Merita Ward of Santiago, Chile, Loretta (Stan) Livingston, Esther Ward, Marie Ward, Francis (Michael) Farago; special niece Diane (Mark) Lencricha and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, June 11, 2007 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., Lethbridge, AB, with Major Glen Habkirk, officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 234C - 12B Street North, Lethbridge, AB T1H 2K7 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, #207, 542 - 7 Street South, Lethbridge, AB.
