WILLIAM EDWARD KARBASHEWSKI (Karbo) passed away suddenly on December 22, 2009 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Barbara (Trivett); his son David (Elizabeth) Karbashewski and his granddaughters Jessica, Stephanie and Michelle of Calgary; daughter Karen Karbashewski of Edmonton; his brother Peter (Mary) Karbashewski of Willingdon and sister Judy (Ron) Rudkowsky of Willingdon; many nieces and nephews of whom he was very fond.

Bill was born Dec. 4, 1937 in Desjarlais, Alberta to Metro and Mary Karbashewski. He loved sports and in his youth excelled at hockey and baseball. His love of golf was rivalled only by his love for Barb. He was a member of Henderson Lake Golf Course for more than four decades and spent countless hours enjoying the company of his friends while playing a round or two. He was also a long-time curler skipping many competitive teams and a passionate card player.

Bill's career endeavours always involved working closely with people which he enjoyed. He was owner of the Credit Bureau and later sold the business to pursue commercial real estate and other sales-related endeavours.
Bill will always be remembered for his terrific sense of humour, his gentle and caring nature and upbeat personality.

A celebration of Bill and his life will take place at 11:00am, on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to STARS Air Ambulance, P.O. Box 570, 1441 Aviation Park NE., Calgary, Alberta, T2E 8M7.
