William Gray

WILLIAM (BILL) JAMES GRAY, devoted and loving husband, dad, and grandpa, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2011 at St. Michael's Health Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.

He was the beloved husband of Isabelle for over 55 years, and a dear father to his children; Paul (passed away March 1979), Bruce (Alison) Gray of Calgary, Caroline (Bob Bourns) of Calgary, and Allison (Jay Handelman) of Kingston. He was a loving Grandpa to Jaime, Tyler, Mikayla, Jasmine and Adam. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his two sisters, Kathleen (Warren) Champ of Saskatoon and Margaret Rumball of Regina.

Dad approached life with a great sense of humour, devotion, patience, and optimism. Originally from Saskatchewan, Dad was an ardent Saskatchewan Roughriders fan (which REALLY underlined his sense of devotion, optimism and yes, sense of humour!) He was a trusted business man - recognized as a leader in his field. Dad was also a valued volunteer, active with both his church, St. Augustine's, and with the Lethbridge United Services Institute (LUSI).

The one thing Dad valued most of all, was family. And at the top, was our Mom, Isabelle - the love of Dad's life for over 55 years. Dad was a wonderful man, and is dearly missed by his family and friends. Peace be with you, Dad.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2011 at ST. AUGUSTINE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 11th Street South, Lethbridge, with Canon James Robinson, officiating.
