William Filkowski

MR. WILLIAM TONY FILKOWSKI Jr. of Coalhurst, born on February 27, 1945, passed away in the early hours of Monday, June 11, 2012 at the age of 67 years.

Beloved son of the late Anna and William Filkowski. He is survived by his sister Irene Szulak (Frank Riley), Nephew's family, David, Roberta and Trinity Szulak; as well as members of the Filkowski and Filipchuk families. He was predeceased by his brother, Duane.

Bill was raised and went to school at Coalhurst and SAIT in Calgary. At a very young age, he took over the responsibility of running the family farm. Bill worked very hard and because of his intellectual ability, insight and persistence, the family farming operation grew and prospered.
Ill health forced him into semi-retirement, but he kept informed and offered sound advice on all farm related issues.

We love him and will miss his free spirit and generosity.

A private family funeral will be held for Bill today.
