William Cowie

1929 - 2007

WILLIAM PATRICK COWIE passed away peacefully on Thursday May 3, 2007 at Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 77 years.

Bill was a devoted and loving husband to Tamara Cowie (nee Givot). Together they shared a business, Lethbridge Maintenance and Carpet Sales, for over 20 years. Tamara predeceased Bill in 1993.

Bill will be dearly missed by his children Tom Cowie, Diane Cowie (Keith Janke), Lydia Quigg, and Cindy Zelt. Predeceased by son-in-laws Peter Quigg and Herb Zelt. Also fondly remembered by his grandchildren Michael Quigg, Catherine, Mark and Peter Zelt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Survived by his brother Gord Cowie and sister-in-law Veronica, and sister-in-laws Evelyn Cowie and Edith Cowie, Bill was predeceased by brothers Les, Harold, George and John.

Bill was born and raised in Montreal. A lover of life, Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, regular bowling and golf games, and entertaining family, friends and neighbours in his nautical themed rec room.
