The Official Obituary of

WILLIAM A. BRIDGER 1941-2014 It is with sadness we announce the passing of William (Bill) on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre in Lethbridge. AB. Bill was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and after many years dedicated to his career in Edmonton and London, Ontario, he retired with his wife, Rita Spencer, to Lethbridge in 2007. Bill spent most of his working life in Edmonton as a biochemistry researcher, an academic and later in this life, as a senior administrator with universities and research science organizations. He is survived by his three eldest children Keith, Jocelyn and Eric, as well as his youngest daughter Andrea. Bill is remembered by many friends and relatives who showed amazing support and love for Bill over the years. Bill enthusiastically adapted to his new home in Lethbridge, volunteering with the Lethbridge Regional Hospital (Emergency Department), and as a board member with Meals on Wheels. Bill and Rita were grateful for their time together with their great neighbors in the coulees. A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 16th, 2015 at the COLLEGE DRIVE COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2710 College Drive S. Friends will be very welcome to the service and reception to follow. A memorial will also be held at the University of Alberta at a later date to be determined. Donations can be made to the Canadian Transplant Society or to the William A.
