Willi Schuhmann

MR. WILLI SCHUHMANN of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Marie Schuhmann, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the age of 86 years.

Willi was born Johann Bernhard Willi Schuhmann on March 26,1925 in Bad Sooden-Allendorf, Germany to Bernhard & Emma Schuhmann (nee Gerecht). Willi was schooled in Germany and became a licensed pilot fighting in World War II. In 1952 the family moved to Canada and he worked as a farm hand and in construction. He was the owner/operator of Lethbridge Diesel and was recognized for his ongoing community support.

Willi is survived by his 2 daughters Helene Dobirstein and Christiane Wallace; his son John Vincon; grandchildren Marina Dobirstein, Dean Dobirstein, John Dobirstein, Derrick Willis, Jason Willis and Todd Vincon; 6 great grandchildren as well as 2 nieces and their families.

Besides his loving wife Marie, Willi is predeceased by his parents Bernhard &Emma Schuhmann, and a brother Hans Schuhmann.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 7, 2011 at 11:00AM at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
