Wilhelm Gering

Wilhelm was called to his final rest by God on April 30, 2010. He was born April 8, 1913 in Ukraine. Towards the end of W.W. II he and his family were moved to western Germany. In 1950 the family emigrated to Canada and settled in Lethbridge, AB. Five years ago he moved to Kelowna, BC to be near his daughters. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Antonia, in 1990; his parents, and 9 siblings. all in Europe. He is survived by his daughter Valentine Gartke (Waldemar); Nedi Koelewyn (Peter); grandchildren John Gartke (Elizabeth), Tim Gartke (Carolyn), Corrine Beaudoin (Yvon), Teresa Cuerrier (Alin) and Reina; and grandchildren Emmaline, Julianna, Trenton, Nathaniel, Trina, Amy, Tianna, Shane, Maya Faye, and Tristan.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 21, at 2:00 pm at Christ-Trinity Lutheran Church, 420-12th Street S., Lethbridge, AB. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
