WALLACE ""WALLY"" CARLYLE WIGTON of Lethbridge, Alberta, beloved husband of the late Maxine Emma Wigton (nee Cornet), passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the age of 85 years.

Wally was born on April 8, 1923 in Detroit, Mich. to (father) Harry Marion Wigton and (mother) Margaret Townsend Wigton. Dad worked 22 years with Trans Alta Utilities as an equipment operator. He loved woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was a certified small appliance repair technician and for a time a member of the Windy West Flying Club.
Wally is survived by 1 daughter Darlene Wick; 5 sons Harry, Larry, Dale, Len and Wayne; 7 grandchildren Nathan, Alicia Jean, Beth, Buddy, Eric, Larry Jr., and Michael; 1 sister Marcille Shepard (Naples, Florida); 1 brother Donald Wigton (Cochraine, Alberta); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides his loving wife and parents Wally was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth (Betty) 1941 and two brothers, Thomas (2007) and Douglas (2008).

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, with Reverend Lois Punton officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
