Mrs. Alta Walmsley of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Orval Walmsley, passed away peacefully at St. Michaels Palliative Centre after a courageous battle with cancer on October 28, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

Alta was born in Fernie, British Columbia on June 26, 1939 and was one of 5 children born to James and Catherine MacDonald (nee Borup). She had many struggles in her life, but never once did she let them get her down. She enjoyed traveling the world with Orval and enjoyed spending time with family and friends she met along her travels. She was always willing to help others. She will be sadly missed

Left to mourn her loss are her four children Dana Guzzi, Jim (Wendy) Guzzi, Jeff (Carol) Guzzi, and Ardyth (Tim Chambers); grandchildren Anthony (Taryn), Bradley (Karlee), Caylee, Devon, Austin, Brianna, and Brodie; great grandchildren Bennett and Larkin; sister Marg Lightburn, and brother Peter MacDonald.

Besides her loving husband Orval, Alta was predeceased by her mother and father, brother Jim, sister Jean, and son Blair Guzzi.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with her close family and friends.
