Frances Vaselenak

1915 ~ 2015

Mrs. Frances Vaselenak of Coaldale, beloved spouse of the late Mr. Leonard Michael Vaselenak, passed away on March 31, 2015 just shy of 100 years.

Frances was born on September 6, 1915 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Adolf & Anna Boguski. The family farm was just north on the Broxburn Road. She met and married Leonard (Mike) Vaselenak and together they farmed southeast of Coaldale. Frances was very active with the Coaldale United Church and Pythian Sisters.

Frances is survived by her son Leonard G. Vaselenak, daughters Laverna Hranac and Gerry Kennon and three grandchildren Mark, Alana, Jeremy, as well as four great-grandchildren, brother Tony (Mary) Boguski; four sisters-in-law as well as many extended family members.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the COALDALE CEMETERY, Coaldale, AB with Pastor Gerald Klassen, officiating.

Immediately following the graveside service, lunch will be served and all are invited to attend a time of fellowship & socializing at the COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH, LOWER LEVEL 2316-17 Street, Coaldale, Alberta. The family encourages anyone in attendance to bring any family photographs or memorabilia pertaining to the Vaselenak or Boguski families.
