Bruce Van Raalte, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully after a hard fought battle with cancer on February 20, 2020.

Bruce was a young hearted and vibrant 70-year-old who was known for his booming laugh and his contagious smile. He was happily married to the love of his life Gwen for 44 wonderful years. Besides his loving wife Gwen, Bruce is survived by his four beautiful children, his daughter Carla (Robert) Jensen and their sons Cooper and Gibson, his daughter Erica Van Raalte, son David Van Raalte and his children Tatum and Flynn, and son Dennis (Nicole) Van Raalte and their daughters Ireland and Addyson. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Van Raalte and his sister Beverley (Michael) Borody, brothers-in-law Duane (Gloria) Illerbrun, Paul (Teresa) Illerbrun, Peter Illerbrun, Grant (Patti) Illerbrun, Marcel Illerbrun, and sisters-in-law Anne (Brent) Wilkins, and Nicole (Rick) Spetz, along with numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Jean, brother Bobby, and sister Peggy Blomme, parents-in-law Leonard and Germaine Illerbrun, brother-in-law Les Illerbrun, and sister-in-law Dana Illerbrun.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 4 Ave South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Trevor Potter, officiating.
