Alex Uhryn passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Legacy Lodge Care Facility at the age of 91 years.

Alex is survived by his two daughters Beverly (Werner) Duda, Brenda (Darren) Wilson; grandchildren Elyse (Ryan) Collier, Bradley (Gabrielle) Duda, Kayla (Casey) Frattin, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Wilson; great-grandchildren Aiden and Liam Collier, Brooklyn Wilson; sister Jennifer Uhryn; sisters/brother-in-law Eva Porter, Marie Uhryn, Esther Romanchuk, Lilly (Steve) Shimek as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides his loving wife Veronica of 56 years, Alex was predeceased by his parents Dmytro and Dora Uhryn; brothers Mike (Muriel), Morris, Bill (Mildred Pachniosky), John (Martha); sisters Ann (Walter) Tratch, Olga (Bill) Michalenko; brothers/sisters-in-law Bill (Bernice) Romanchuk, John (Lillian) Romanchuk, Annie (Bill) Elaschuk, Mike (Gladys) Romanchuk, Andy (Marion) Romanchuk, Alex Romanchuk, Fred (Myrtle) Romanchuk, Nick (Renee) Romanchuk and Les Porter.

Alex enjoyed fishing, camping, baseball, hockey, curling and broomball. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought so much joy to his life.

A private immediate family only viewing will be held at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta.

Donations in Alex’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
