Steve Toth went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at the age of 77 years.
Steve is the beloved brother of Les (Lydia) Toth of Lethbridge. Steve is the beloved uncle of nieces: Janet (Frank) Olajos of Calgary, Doris (Lyle) Laird of Edmonton, Lois Shail of Sherwood Park, Sharon Unger of Vancouver, Vivian (Garry) Malmo of Lethbridge, and of nephews: Allan Domeier of Lethbridge, Malcolm Burch of Cranbrook, and Calvin (Ildi) Toth of Lethbridge; and all their families. Steve also leaves numerous cousins and friends.
Steve was predeceased by his mother & father, Steve & Sofia Toth, and his sisters & brothers-in-law: Beth & Sandy Murphy, Ella & Basil Mills, Mary & Bill Domeier, Anne & George Burch.
Steve was born in Lethbridge on January 14, 1930. He was the youngest of 6 children, grew up on the family farm, and attended school in Diamond City. Steve loved time shared with family and friends. He had a gentle, fun-loving spirit which shone through in the antics he, his brother and sisters, his cousins and friends got into. His laughter reverberated through any room. Steve loved jokes and was known for his sense of humor, his bright, upbeat, constantly cheerful attitude, and his feelings of love and caring for all those who surrounded his life.
Steve worked on the family farm till moving to Lethbridge. When in the city, Steve loved dancing, especially square and round dancing; 5 pin, carpet and lawn bowling; gardening, music, reading, and visiting with family and friends.
Throughout his life, Steve was in the army cadets, participated in the life of Bethlen and then St. Andrew's Presbyterian Churches, and the Senior Citizens Organization. His favorite Bible passages are John 14 and 1st Corinthians 13, known as the love chapter.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00PM and 8:00PM at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, September 14, 2007 at ST. ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1818-5th Avenue South, Lethbridge with Reverend Hugh Jack officiating. Internment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Southern Alberta Epilepsy Association, 447A Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, or any charity of your choice.
