Theresa Sava

MRS. THERESA SAVA (nee Tresek) passed away at Edith Cavell Care Center on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the age of 94 years.

Theresa was born on January 1, 1917 in Kostice, Czechoslovakia. She came to Canada in 1927 and resided in Raymond, Alberta until 1933, when she married Charles B. Sava. They had three children; Charles ""Chuck"" (Helen) Sava of Buddina, Australia, Darlene (Bruce) Robinson of Claresholm, and Gary dec. 1967 (Dian dec. 2007) Sava, grandchildren; Trevor Sava, Colleen Glenn of Queensland, Australia, Shannon (Troy) Robinson, Sheila Robinson of Calgary and Rick (Zoe) Sava of White Rock, BC, and great grandchildren; Emma and Georgia Glenn of Australia, and Zachary and Hannah Sava of White Rock, BC.

Theresa worked as a Housemother at St. Michael's School of Nursing for many years and also as a Night Supervisor at the YWCA. She was a lifetime member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was an avid gardener, an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining in her home for countless hours for many of her relatives. She was a superb hostess. Her family was most important for her as they were her blessings.

Theresa passed away peacefully in her sleep early in the morning of June 23rd. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Deborah Lannon, officiating.
