Terry Mortensen

MR. TERRY DALE MORTENSEN of Picture Butte, beloved husband of Mrs. Audrey Mortensen, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the age of 51 years.

Terry was born September 11, 1960 in the Lethbridge Municipal Hospital, and received his schooling in Raymond. Terry worked for Canadian Natural Gas for 30 years. He was a proud Canadian, competing in Heavy Events Competitions in Scottish Highland Games. He loved to play hockey and watch his Montreal Canadiens. He played goalie for 30 years and won numerous MVPs and was a provincial shoot-out champion. Terry also coached for 10 years. Another one of Terry's interests was music; playing his Fender bass guitars. He loved his boys, Bear and Rufus. Terry had a keen sense of humor.

Terry was very proud of his daughter Candice and her husband Darell. He was much loved by his whole family. He was a great big brother and a wonderful son.

Besides his loving wife Audrey, Terry is survived by his daughter Candice (Darell) Tam, his mother Edythe Daly, his sister Cindy (Jack) Svoboda, brother Rod (Natalie) Mortensen, numerous nieces and nephews, and by Wally and Annie.

He was predeceased by his step-father Patrick Daly and his father Dale Mortensen.

A Private Family Service will be held on February 4, 2012, with Dr. Alex Lawson, officiating.
