MRS. MARY RAGNFRID STASIUK (nee Lenning) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Vic Stasiuk, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, September 10, 2010 at the age of 78 years.

Mary is the loving mother of Vanessa, Elsa (Owen), Victor (Amy) and Jae Jae (Layton); loving grandmother to Chanel (Tim), Shilo (Eric), Brooker (Kandice), Tessa, Sheena, Brett (Dan), Skylar (Aaron), Kory, Kristian and Joel; proud great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Madison, Ava and Kynsli. Mary is also survived her by caring brother Rolf; sisters Greta, Brith, Ann and Darlene as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Johan and Kaia, sister Ellynor and brother Johnny.

Mary was born in Sokndal, Norway on January 15, 1932 to Johann and Kaia Lenning. The Lenning Family ventured to Southern Alberta when Mary was 16 years old. Shortly thereafter she caught the eye of her future husband and was married on June 28, 1952 and experienced the life of following an NHL Player all over North America, but her greatest joy was settling in Lethbridge and being surrounded by her family.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Calgary's Foothills ICU, and to the Nurses on Unit 32, as well as the Lethbridge Regional Hospital Staff.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00PM and 9:00PM, on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Valerie Martell-Kostiuk, officiating.
