STANLEY HERBUT
November 27, 1938 - April 1, 2010

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we, the family of Stanley Herbut announce his sudden passing. Beloved husband and best friend to Mary Elizabeth Herbut, and beloved father to Kim (Randy Cunningham) Herbut, along with Randy's son Colt.

Stan was born in Diamond City, Alberta on November 27, 1938 to Michael and Mary. He began farming on the family farm at a young age with his brother Steve. Along with the farming, Stan had experience in the cattle industry his father was involved in. In the early years, Stan participated in cattle drives to the family ranch at Fort Macleod. Stan and Steve then purchased another farm in Diamond City.

Stan and Mary Elizabeth were married on November 11, 1961 in Lethbridge, Alberta. A farmer at heart, Stan and Mary purchased their farm in 1967, farming in grain, sugar beets, peas and cattle.
Stan loved his hockey, curling and golf. He was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Calgary Flames fan and never missed a Lethbridge Hurricanes game.

Along with his loving family, Stan is survived by his sisters; Stella (Harvey) Jackson, Helen (Bob) Randle, and brother Marion (Sharon) Herbut along with many nieces and nephews.

Stan was predeceased by his parents, 2 younger brothers Mike and John, and later brothers Joe and Steve.

We love you very much and will miss you forever. All our love forever.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 9, 2010 at ST. BASIL'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Father Raul Hernandez, celebrant.
