Cameron Sims

1933 ~ 2018

On February 14, 2018, Cam passed away suddenly. He was predeceased by his his first wife, Lynn, of 55 years and his parents, Emmanual Edward and Tekla Maria Sims. Cam will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend Patricia Anne. He also leaves to mourn his loving children, Tana Koliebaba of Fairveiw, Darrel (Glenda Nicolson) Sims of Coaldale, Scarlett (Cliff) Ferris of Grande Prairie, and Wes Sims of Grande Prairie. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Cameron, Sharon, Edward, Braedan, Nathan, Shawn, Stacy, Eric, Randy, Joshua, and Paige. Cameron enjoyed his time with his Great Grandchildren Ryann, Roma, and Lincoln. His extended family included many children, grandkids, and great grandkids that he loved spending time with. Cameron leaves to mourn his sister, Gail (Les) Massey of Vancouver, and was predeceased by his sister, Muriel (Blair) Fobes, and brothers, Reginald (Emma) Sims, Robert (Eva) Sims, and Gordon Sims.

Cameron was born in Rocky Mountain House. He later moved to Edmonton and married his wife Lynn on June 23, 1956. He started working at Seemans and later started working at Alberta Government Telephones where he worked for many years at different positions in the company. He retired in 1991 and moved to Kelowna to enjoy the weather and the scenery. Cam enjoyed spending his time working on his wood working and spending time with family and friends. After Lynn's passing he moved to Grande Prairie and eventually to Lethbridge. While living at The View in Lethbridge, he met and married Patricia Baker (April 29, 2016) who was his best friend until his passing.

The family would like to thank all of the staff and residents of The View that Dad enjoyed spending time with. Also thank you to Dr. Darin Orr and the nurses at Lethbridge Regional Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating.
