It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Willie Simons, at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on December 10, 2021, at the age of 73 years.

Willie was born in Mechelen Limburg, Netherlands on December 22, 1947. In 1956 along with his parents and seven siblings immigrated to Canada and arrived in Southern Alberta.

Willie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Antoinette; daughter Jennifer (Shaun) and his granddaughter Andrea; brothers Frank, Pierre (Mary Lou) and Charlie (Judy), and sister in laws, Tina and Johanna.

He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Tina; siblings, Al, Joe, Elly, Matt and sister in laws Rita and Gladys. In addition to Willie’s family, he will also be missed by Antoinette’s family, a large extended family and numerous friends.

Willie had a passion for carpentry and was an accomplished carpenter by trade. Willie began his career in the family business and then worked for 30 years with the Holy Spirit Catholic Schools. Family was everything to Willie and he especially loved spending time with his granddaughter Andrea. If you knew Willie, you knew he had his own Pace… often humming or whistling as he went.
